new technology- a threat or a promise?

i think it's both threat and a promise. it's a threat because the factories discharges chemical waste. so the marine life is being affected. technology does not only harm humans but everything around us. the oil, chemicals and the harmful gases kill the marine life. when the marine life is being affected, human's food is also affected. there will be shortage of seafood.not only that, people also will be scared to eat seafood. and this could lead to loss for the seafood sellers economically.

new technology is also a promise because when the new technology grows human's knowledge also grows, it is impossible to do nothing.here is an example. in the past, many people die of cancer. technology found a way to cure cancer.technology saves people's lives. therefore, new technology is a promise and a threat too.
